Bio (Long)

Cliff Cash is a North Carolina native born in a small southern town where he was exposed to everything from Nascar to banana and mayonnaise sandwiches. Let’s put it this way, he may have had a rat tail at one point. Growing older and seeing more of the world, Cash soon developed a not so healthy love/hate relationship with the shenanigans of southern small town life finding inconsistencies in many of the cultural, political, social and dogmatic guidelines that once seemed to be set in stone.

After going through what can only be described as rock bottom, Cliff decided he’d try stand up at an open mic thinking it may make him feel better to laugh not knowing it would change his life. What it really did was save his life. Seeing through a new set of eyes and knowing what he was meant to do, Cash took the local comedy scene by storm and was opening for national headliners one month into his comedy career.

Fast forward two years and he was writing and performing multiple different 30 minute sets as a feature for many other clubs around the country and is now headlining some of the best Indy shows, colleges, theatres and clubs in the Southeast. Recent winner of the Port City’s Top Comic 2013, Almost Famous 2013, Regional winner of Comedy Central’s UpNext and runner up/finalist in several other competitions, Cash is just getting started. He has been chosen to perform in the Cape Fear Comedy Festival 2011,2012,2013 and Norfolk Comedy Festival 2014, a finalist for the Martin Grant and chosen to showcase at 2015 NACA south. Cash has opened for amazing comics like Michael Ian Black, Bert Kreischer, Jeff Dye, Kyle Grooms, Todd Glass, Rory Scovel, Alonzo Bodden, Sean Patton, Joe Zimmerman, Michael Che, Lachlan Patterson, Matt Fulchiron, Moshe Kasher, Judah Friedlander, Tom Cotter, Carl Labove, Wyatt Cenac, Seaton Smith and many more. Cliff has professionally recorded many 30, 45 and 60 minute shows which are available for sale at

I am now done saying nice things about myself in third person. Thanks for sticking it out. I know that was weird for both of us. Let’s do some laughing.

Bio (Short)

Cliff Cash comes from the religious and conservative south and adds a new twist to stand-up that you won’t soon forget. Finding absurdities in everyday culture, media, politics and dogma; Cash draws comparisons that others miss. Whether it’s through one of his characters or voices, an angry rant or a satirical rap song, Cliff will make you question what you accept as normal.

A rising star on the comedy circuit, Cash is quickly climbing the ranks. He is featuring all over the country with multiple sets and hours of material, being accepted to the Cape Fear Comedy Festival three years in a row, the Norfolk Comedy Festival and winning Port City’s Top Comic 2013, Comedy Zone’s Almost Famous competition 2013 and chosen as one of 30 semifinalists nationwide in Comedy Central’s UpNext competition/talent search.

I’ve played Comedy Zones, Improv, Funny Business Agency, Helium, Punchline and Summit, Goodnights, Comedy Catch, Jokers Live, Comedy of OBX, Comedy Club of Williamsburg clubs/rooms as well as many independent rooms, theatres, colleges (college agent Sophie K) and corporate events mostly in the Southeast.

I won the 2013 “Almost Famous” comedy competition at Charlotte Comedy Zone, Nutt St. Comedy literally 50-80 times, Carolina Comedy Club in Myrtle Beach SC multiple times for Jeff Smith, Firewater Grill in Charleston SC multiple times for Tony Kemp, the Idiot Box Greensboro NC, The Hanger Atlanta GA, The Threshold Repertory Theatre Charleston SC and other small rooms and clubs around the Southeast, Caroline’s on Broadway, Creek and Cave, Wyatt Cenac’s NighTrain, Knitting Factory, Broadway Comedy Club, the Wilbur Theatre in Boston for Comedy Central’s UpNext.

And many more.

Featured on Laughs on FOX in 2014 and 2015, NACA South 2015, Martin Grant finalist 2015. He’s opened for comedy all stars like Michael Ian Black, Rory Scovel, Kyle Grooms, Todd Glass, Michael Che, Judah Freidlander, Moshe Kasher, Lachlan Patterson and many others. Cash has also recently been heard on Comedy Central’s XM radio station. Pull up a seat and enjoy the show because Cliff Cash has found his home in standup comedy.
